Irton House Farm Cottages

Amazing Lake District Views

Welcome to Irton House Farm

For taking a calm, relaxing break in the North Lakes then Irton House Farm offers a choice of five disabled accessible holiday cottages that sit around a central courtyard. For the Motorhome, Caravan and those that like to sleep under canvas we have a small number of pitches all with electric hookup and amazing views.

Something for everyone.

The Cottages

The cottages have been carefully designed to provide easy access and comfort for all our guests including any with disability such as wheelchair users - for further details click here.

All our cottages have been furnished throughout to a high specification, and have been specifically designed to provide easy access for all guests including those with reduced mobility. All the cottages are readily accessible with parking immediately outside the front entrance and all benefit from customer-controlled central heating which allows guests to maintain a comfortable temperature at no additional cost.

WiFi is now available in all cottages and is fine for checking email and the like but, being such a rural location, does not have the performance for media streaming.

NEW for this season ...

Apart from the stunning landscape, many walks, on-site games room, and roaming farm animals, Irton Farm now offers 2 new, bookable, experiences for any of our guests.

You can now shoot clay targets with a shotgun or relax with a tipple in our Jet-Pool & Hot Tub. Visit the 'Activities' page for more information.

Van & Tent Pitches

Our campsite has a limited number of spacious pitches, each with an electric hookup. There is a modern shower block with showers and toilets close to the site. The views from the site are some of the best in the Lake District overlooking the Skiddaw mountain range and Bassenthwaite Lake.

Location, location, location

The farm is set in 240 acres of pasture and woodland and commands possibly one of the finest views found in the Northern Lake District, sitting in an elevated position with uninterrupted views of Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and the Northern Lake District fells.

Irton House Farm provides an excellent location from which families and friends can enjoy the great outdoors. Within easy reach of the Coast-2-Coast cycle route, accessible walks - "Miles without Stiles" and the exciting Whinlatter cross country and downhill mountain biking trails

Well behaved dogs are welcome - for details please enquire when booking your holiday.

We look forward to hearing from you.
