Irton House Farm offers a choice of six holiday cottages which sit around a central courtyard. The cottages have been carefully designed to provide easy access and comfort for all our guests including any with disability including wheelchair users (see facilities for more information).
The farm is set in 240 acres of pasture and woodland and commands possibly one of the finest views found in the Northern Lake District, sitting in an elevated position with uninterupted views over Skiddaw, Bassenthwaite Lake and the North Lake District fells (the panoramic photographs above are views from the farm).
All our cottages have been furnished throughout to a high specification, and have been specifically designed to provide easy access for all guests including those with reduced mobility. All the cottages are easily accessible with parking immediately outside the front entrance and all benefit from customer controlled central heating which allows guests to maintain a comfortable temperature at no additional cost. There are friendly owners in residence at the adjacent farmhouse.
Irton House Farm provides an excellent location from which families and friends can enjoy the great outdoors. Within easy reach of Coast 2 Coast cylce routes, accessible walks – “Miles without Stiles” and the exciting Whinlatter cross country and downhill mountain biking trails
Well behaved dogs are welcome – for details please enquire when booking your holiday.
